Game of Thrones blasted back on to our screens for Season 7 and continues to draw in audiences around the world, with hype for Season 8 already under way. But have you ever really studied the line-up? HBO has managed to cast some seasoned actors and actresses, but despite their experience (and a couple of famous thespians), the majority are relatively unknown. Or are they?
So, forget the white walkers for a minute and check out these10 actors, pictured when they were just starting out on their walk to fame versus how they look in their GoT roles. We're sure you've seen them somewhere before!
1. Diana Rigg: from Emma Peel (The Avengers) to Olenna Tyrrel (GoT)
Dame Diana Rigg has 50 years acting experience under her belt - movies, TV, theater... But age didn't stop her from taking on a gritty GoT role and, despite a few more wrinkles, her chiseled features and husky tones are still as recognizable as ever.
2. Jason Momoa: from Baywatch to Khal Drogo in GoT
Hard to believe that this fresh-faced actor and the bearded, muscular Khal Drogo in GoT are one and the same.
3. Kristofer Hivj: Tormund Giantsbane in GoT

Hard to imagine that that red-haired funnyman, Dennis Pennis, who was famous for teasing celebrities, is now a wizened, bearded Thoros. We bet you'd never recognize him if you saw him walking down the street...

From a spiky, bleach-blonde surfer look to a sneaky, power-hungry noble in Game of Thrones... Aidan Gillen's cheeky grin has become a convincing sneer in his latest role.

He's as well known as Diana Rigg, but you can't find a greater contrast than his transvestite scene for Ali G versus the power-wielding patriarch that he plays in HBO's classic series.
