Kids are bursting with ideas - particularly if they want to find a practical solution to an annoying problem. Here are 33 brilliant 'inventions' that prove we shouldn't underestimate the children in our lives! Present them with a dilemma and they'll put their creativity to the test. Some of these are so cool, they deserve to be patented and turned into next generation gadgets.
1. Keep your book dry when you take a bath
It was an 8 year-old bookworm who found a way to keep her reading material dry. How? By attaching an adjustable dog lead to a hook (could also work with faucets or a shower head) and hey presto! damp-free pages!
2. Mini movie theater
Why go to a movie theater when you can build one yourself? There's everything here - soda, snacks, headphones, a smartphone placed above a hole in the box and, best of all, a darkened room for top-quality viewing. Plus we love the fact that you can lie down under a cozy blanket!

No need for drones or sophisticated computer programs to follow a NASCAR race when you've got a child with an inventive mind!
4. A comfy, hands-free way to watch TV on your smartphone
The problem with watching TV or a movie whilst lying down is that after a minute or so our arms start to ache. This young boy has come up with a solution that's both simple and ingenious!

Unless you have an extra pair of arms, it's impossible to drink whilst gaming. So bravo to this 9 year-old girl, who hung a drink-filled bag around her neck and then simply attached a straw.

Hands up if you hate mowing lawns! Well, if you're like this 9 year-old boy, you'll attach your bike to the mower and get the job done in a flash!

This mom often moaned that she couldn't find a decent support for her kitchen iPad. Her son came to the rescue on Mother's Day and presented her with a colorful, Lego support complete with 'mom' written on the front. Added plus? It's waterproof, so 10 out of 10 to this little guy!
