Through photography, he denounces the cruelty of modern society and the working world
Our modern society and the working world includes a tremendous amount of wrongs, through over-exploitation, forced consumerism, and power struggles. Additionally, many people inflict an added pressure by feeding a form of slavery of which they themselves are victims.
This is denounced by Adrian McDonald, an artist who defines himself as a photographer-philosopher.
The snapshots he took show a man totally trapped by his work and his torment. A rope tied around his neck, like a tie, and the skeleton that he's permanently dragging, symbolize this suffering.
But the photographer finishes his series on a hopeful note; that in fact we can determine that the man will eventually come out of this downward spiral. He refuses to let himself be dragged by the skeleton, takes his knife to cut the rope, and buries the skeleton, before leaving, freed...
